Electrical cost

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help.
I am looking to get a 13 A 6-Gang Surge Protected Individually switched Extension Lead as the wall plug behind my TV is a nightmare to get to.
Question is, if the wall plug is left on at all times, and the extension lead connected to that with its individual switches, are turned off at the end of the night before bed, will there still be electric being used or flowing, as the main plug (that I can hardly get to) will still be on at all times?
Just wanted to ensure my electric costs were not going to go up..
Any thoughts folks?
This is what i was going to buy:

Yes, I believe electricity will still be flowing and being consumed.
I see there is a red power light that presumably is lit whenever the device has power supplied to it.
There is also a green surge light, that is said to be on permanently (when powered) to indicate that surge protection is active.
But both are described as neon, and would consume very little power, with negligible effect on your electricity bill.
As you asked the question, you presumably considered that the device itself may consume power (other than the obvious lights I have referred to). What else did you think it would need electricity to power?0 -
Thanks, it was more around the effect i guess of not turning the socket off at the wall and leaving it permanently switched on so i can then switch on and off the extension plug with its individual switches etc.
I was thinking that my bill may go up due to the main wall plug being constantly on.0 -
Whether the wall switch is on or not is not relevant-what matters is whether devices are connected that are drawing power. A neon indicator is only consuming a tiny amount of power,No free lunch, and no free laptop0
