Ring resizing

Has anyone had experience of ring resizing? Both of my rings need it (4 years of 'contentment'/ weight gain...) and my wedding band had to be cut off at A&E so is in a bit of sorry state now...

my wedding ring was my Grandmothers - she had to have it cut off in hospital 48 hours before she died. My Mum had it repaired and sized to fit my right hand - i have worn that ring for 19 years. When i married this year it fitted my left hand and became my wedding ring. Rings can be repaired/resized just discuss it with a quality jeweler.
