Energy Predictor website

Options
I have been with my current energy provider for 6 months and I know my use for both gas and electricity for that period (from March to August inclusive). As we are entering the high use season, it is not as simple as multiplying the usage by 2 to get my annual usage, which most energy comparison sites require.

Does anyone know of a website which would be able to calculate and predict the annual usage, given the known usage between March and August?

Most comparison sites will have an average figure based upon house size .
This will give you the unit costs and standing charges .

Would it be much use? No one can predict what the weather will be like in the middle of winter.

The Ovo website has some good graphs that may assist you in what you are attemting to do ;)

Edit: for some reason this site may corrupt that url - take out the "%20%20" in the word "and" to make it work :)

We are all electric, use a heat pump for heating and hot water and the following shows the percentage energy that we use every month averaged over the past 5 years. Hopefully it will give you some idea how to work out yours based on your own consumption

    Jan 17%, Feb 14%, Mar 12%, Apr 6%, May 4%,Jun 4%, Jul 5%, Aug 4%, Sep 4%, Oct 6%, Nov 11%, Dec 14%

As you can see nearly 70% is used in the five months between November & March with just over 30% used in the seven spring, summer and autumn months .
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

So on that basis, the annual gas bill is 3.32 times the Mar-Sept bill, and electricity 2.4 times.
