Morning all
Well, the car passed the MOT (after a bulb needed replacing - £4, but I can live with that) - so that's a relief. Managed to get a £5 gift card from Swagbucks so that can go into the Xmas pile. So all in all a good day yesterday.
Groceries aside, I can't see myself getting to the end of the day as a NSD. Seeing various people so its likely we will end up doing something - it seems like not everyone is trying to clear their mortgage off or something.... crazy....
Haven't opened a financial spreadsheet for at least two days either so must check everything is okMortgage free target: 2030

Just popping in to update the diary - half way to the first overpayment and we are still motivated
Broadband bill has been adjusted so I've tweaked the amount of money we move around accordingly. Should equate to about another £25-30 a month in OP, so its adding up!Mortgage free target: 2030

Thanks lippy
Well its been a long weekend, and there was probably a bit too much spending. Tried to counteract it with another £5 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks which is nice, but doesn't really make much of a dent.
None the less, trying to be positiveIt just seems like a long wait until the end of the month.... luckily a major spring clean has helped enjoy the house even more and that in turn makes it all worth while!
Managed to shift the fibre line which should save around £25 a month, but won't see the exact saving until next month so won't adjust the OP amount until I know.
On to tackling the electric / gas I think....Mortgage free target: 2030

Woah - time flies! Been away so just catching up - lots of diaries to read!
On the brightside I've saved nearly 138 a month by sorting the electric, mobiles and phone, so that is going straight on the OPs.
Been a bit slack on the Swagbucks, so need to pick that up again this week - and need to target the next thing to save on....
.... but best of all - its nearly PAY DAY! WoohooMortgage free target: 2030

Well, its kind of a good news bad news day. I've bumped the Emergency Fund up to £3,000 to target, but there isn't enough left over for an Overpayment.
On the bright side, a few home jobs have been done - so hopefully I can lower the LTV by improving the house even if I can't lower the mortgage
Roll on the next pay day...... starting to hate that feeling!Mortgage free target: 2030

Its funny isn't it - but I think its because we watch the pennies more than most that we notice it when its not there. I can only assume my friends either don't talk about money much, or they don't worry about it (rightly or wrongly).
Feeling better about the whole thing today - and Mrs MFWKid is now doing Swagbucks as well so that will hopefully bump up the Christmas fund.
Still - its about the long term at the end of the day - it will be worth it!Mortgage free target: 2030
