What do you do with your old plastic bags?

Everyone has that stash of plastic bags at home (well I know I do!) and we want to know what you do with them.
Personally, I use up my stash on changing the cat litter tray! They're the right size and it's just easier to grab a bag rather than opening up a huge bin liner.
So tell us below, what do you do with your old plastic bags? The more inventive, the better

We use them as bin bags for our kitchen bin.0

Not here. Since the carrier bag charge was brought in a few years ago, we use our own bags.0

I got an email from Ocado the other day and if you have online shopping they will pay you 5p for each carrier bag you hand back to the driver.0

After the 5th Oct, I'll be selling them - 3p each!
Also have some new/unused 4p each!I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Never have plastic bags since the charging was introduced here two years ago. Pain the the bum at time when you want to give something like garden produce to a neighbour or friend and have to use a bin bag0

I use them as bin liners in the smaller bins throughout the house, which then get transferred into a big black bag on bin day.
I also use them to put stuff in when selling at car boots. Most buyers want a bag!
I take some on holiday with me to put dirty and/or wet clothes in, so that the rest of the stuff in the suitcase doesn't get mixed up with them.

Agree with the above, the charge was introduced here a few years ago and have just got use to taking my own bags wherever I go. Once I built up a stash of pretty ones it became easy.
I'm not sure I've ever paid for a 5p bag.My debt free diary

I use mine for getting rid of bindweed and other big weeds in the garden.
Unwind a length of bindweed and stuff it into a plastic bag with handles, or shove the tops of the other big weeds into one, then spray weedkiller into the bag onto the captive weeds.
Then tie the handles and leave the bundles for the weedkiller to work.
This method saves getting weedkiller on the plants you don't want to kill, and makes sure the weeds get a really good soaking.
If you don't like using weedkiller, plastic bags can still help you control weeds. Tie one round the seeding tops of big weeds before you pull them out. The bag catches the seeds and prevents them finding new rooting spaces.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

I never take a carrier bag, I've got into the habit of always taking a shopping bag out with me and all my handbags have a nylon bag in a pocket in them, so if I need to carry anything the bag is with me.0

We don't get many, as we have a big stash of cloth bags we take shopping. On the rare occasions we do get one (usually if we've had a load of loose stuff from the fruit & veg market) I keep a few back for "emergencies" and any excess get bundled up to send to the RSPCA shop, where they re-use them rather than having their own "branded" bags to put merchandise in.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
