I've got a mixed bag and don't know where to start I have 3 loans hsbc in 1999 ish black Horse in 2001 and then again in 2005 ish I've had car finance with Auto response I think I've had Mastercard and 2 Visa cards all of which I was Mis-sold all of which I have no paperwork as It was left at old council property in attic and when I went back it had all been cleared and binned. Is it worth me bothering as it sounds like a lot of messing about over 3 different addresses but would love some money for Christmas.

Why were you missold PPI?
Were you previously BR? If so you need to contact your OR, any reclaimed funds should be going to them.0 -
The first question is why do you think you were mis-sold. Just saying that your had PPI isn't a sign that it was mis-sold - many people bought it aware of the circumstances and without any problems. I'd not asking this to be awkward, just to get you to think about why you think you have a case, as without that it's easy to say it wasn't mis-sold.
If you supply the companies with your name and address as it was then, and how it is now they should be able to find the account and provide you with a ton of paperwork. They will explain when you request it what their processes are (some will demand a small fee, others won't; some will want proof you have changed address and are the same person, others won't).
There have been enough PPI enquiries by people who have lost their details or can't remember stuff that banks now have their own good processes for that.
If the money would be useful (PPI refund on a credit card with an average balance of £10 that you used for 6 months won't be much) and there is a genuine case (i.e., you know something about how it was sold, or have some reason why you shouldn't have had it) it's worth doing. It's not that much work really - in many cases it's less work than filling in a survey for a much lower chance of winning £500.0 -
Whats BR and OR and I was certainly told on the loans I had to take it out for cover incase anything happened jobwise and the same with the car finance or no car but with the credit cards i'm not sure I think the signature came without really reading small print.0

Bankrupt and Official Receiver
Would the PPI have covered you in case you lost your job? Did you have any other cover in place?0 -
I was bankrupt years ago but only one loan and one card out of the list were covered in them0

Any PPI paid prior to your discharge cannot be complained about. Well, technically you can but if successful, you dont get the money.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
