Help with selling game idea needed

Okay, not strictly techie, but this seemed the best place!
I have had an idea for an x-rated computer game that I think would work. I would not have the first idea how to develop it, so would like to sell on the concept - but how do I find a buyer? And how do I come up with a cost? And how do I maintain rights to royalties?
Any thoughts/advice/assistance gratefully received!

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

You might be better going to the small business board and asking.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

hmm.. first of all write down all the details of this idea.. make sure you have it very detailed..
Then perhaps contact software houses for more information without disclosing your idea to them - just ask them the process for selling them the idea (they'll all have websites.) Then see what they say.. they should tell you what to do and you can choose which one to disclose it to.0 -
Thanks - that's helpful. Thing is, I'm not sure how to identify appropriate software houses - this is a pretty adult concept (though might actually be educational!!).
I've tried searches, but just get !!!!!! sites!!

Try doing a search on GAMES by software houses who make 'adult games'. GTA San Andreas (Rockstar), Manhunt, or Playboy for example. Games sites will tell you who produces the game, and you can consider contacting them.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. you'll probably need to patent the idea first, or document it all and leave a copy with a solicitor as proof. If not you can take it to a software house, they like it and then they screw you by stealing the idea and it's your word against a very rich software house's.0

yes this is true.. a solicitor might be helpful..
the first step is definately to get your ideas on paper and the dates you came up with it and get someone to witness it.
Software houses - like EA Games etc.. Look at similar styled games - find out who makes them (it will say it on the game) and then google for their websites.0
