UU a love to give shower gel 60ml Wnba doubt it's available still anyway I *think* it was originally from primark. I'd use if gifted again but wouldn't go it for myself. It didn't really smell of anything and lasted me two showers. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

UU's - yeay! such a satisfying feeling tossing empties into recycling!
Beauty formulas Teatree facial scrub - reject from DD's skincare. I used it as a footscrub. WNBA
Naked shimmering body cream. Not rich enough. WNBA
Manahattan clear face. German branded face wash my DD swears by. Annoyingly it seems to have disappeared from the market. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
The two in particular that interest me at the moment are the Clarins one (mostly because of the other freebies it comes with at the moment) and the M&S one – it’s cheap, but I can’t find much info on what’s actually in it…
To be fair I don’t need either – I’d just like them :P But I could/should save the money for ski trips next year… Hmmm, maybe I've talked myself out of them then, I don’t know!
I'm very tempted with Clarins as currently it gives 6 bonus items for purchases of £60 and above..Which is the price for the calendar..ally.0 -

A little question for you, if your entire makeup stash was destroyed and you had to replace with a capsule collection what would be in your new collection? Mine would be:
I have recently had this idea of TA'ing all stuff that I don't use instead of keeping them with the hope that I will use them one day.
Because usually, it is disappointment when I use them. An off color, bad consistency etc.
I'd not buy lipglosses or single eyeshadows. I'd buy less mascaras.
1. Foundation - Bare Minerals
2. Concealer - Bare Minerals - YSL Touch Eclat
3. Under eye concealer - Probably Clinique
4. Powder - none as I have a dry skin
5. Blusher - Benetint or Bare Minerals.
6. Gimme Brow Gel from Benefits for eyebrows
7. Eye Primer YSL Touch Eclat
8. Eyeshadows - unsure but probably chubby sticks from Clinique
9. YSL or Dior mascara
10.Clinique chubby sticks for lipsally.0 -
emma - I've heard good things about the ELF primer, I may try it one day.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

foundation- lancome 001 or light or double wear bone
eyebrows- pencil from pound land in pale blonde
eye shadow- urban decay palette 2
primer for eyes- still need convincing
concealer- erase paste 1 benefit and mac long lasting concealer
powder- illuminating powder in mac
eye liner - clarins brown
maraca- something cheap. i tend to replace them very often
i would splurge on the foundation and moisturisers- look in the bargin bin for a lipstick0 -
I've been trying to keep a HG list of stuff I can't live without and would def buy again. So far I have
Foundation: bare minerals and Dior but Dior isn't cruelty free
Mascara: was Dior or Mac so I need a new hg as neither cruelty free
Eyeshadow: I love nars and Illamasqua
Powder: I could use any tbh! There's negligible difference.
Concealer: Laura mercier for spots, was Bobbi brown for undereye but not cruelty free.
Lipstick: Illamasqua or nars
Eyeliner: Illamasqua liquid and gel, still searching for a pencil but urban decay is prob winning this one! Charlotte tilbury has impressed me though.
I wouldn't use lipgloss or bronzer, I'm too pale to get away with bronzer and I've grown out of lipgloss.
The advent calendars seem to just be the same old samples this year. All the Christmas stuff is underwhelming this year aside from the Charlotte tilbury range. The rest is just the same old stuff or just not worth it. The only other one I've seen that I'd consider is nars but the palette is very similar to others they've had out this year. It's like all the brands have gone very safe this year and got smaller collections.0 -
Few outs over here
4/121. UU Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil. WBA but prefer 17 one.
5/122. UU Garnier Micellar Water. WDBA. already have another one
6/123. UU Nuxe Reve de Miel Body Lotion mini. WMB full size on offer. Smells lovely.
7/124. UU Rimmel Match Perfection Sachet, new formula. I have the old formula and like it but this seemed even nicer so would buy when I've used up the other one.
8/125. TA Neal and Wolf Blow Dry Lotion. This used to smell completely amazing but now smells like PVA glue so its in the bin.
9/126. GA Peppermint Cooling Leg Gel.
10/127. UU Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Peel off mask. WNBA. I like the smell and the peeling off aspect but I don't think it does much.
11/128. UU mini Aveeno Moisturising Cream. WNB
12/129. UU mini Clarins HydraQuench Cream, WNB
It's all going to pot on the IN front though. I think from now til Christmas my good work is going to be undone.
6/82. Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara - from YBD Box
7-8/83-84. The White Company Day and Night Perfume samples from YBD box. Both smell gorgeous.
9-10/85-86. Dermablend Sachets from YBD
11-12/87-88. Elemental Herbology minis from YBD
13/89. Autumn Leaves candle from Sainsburys
It's only going to get worse. Pink Parcel still to come and I caved to an advent calendar. I do think I've bought less than I would have done if I hadn't started keeping track so that's something. Baby steps! And I've not bought an eyeshadow palette since June. That's big for me! I'm not confident I'll keep my total below 500 by New Year though. I'm going to concentrate on UUing some minis as that's what I'll be getting in the advent calendar and my minis drawer is overflowing.
Good to see how well everyone else is doing!:)0 -
 Morning everyone!
Just one UU to report - Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shower gel. DH loves this so definitely WBA, just after he's used up all the fruit salad scented ones...
I don't wear much make up - silk purse and sow's ear - so I'm not sure what my HG cosmetics would be. I do try to only use cruelty-free products. I did naively think all of the big players were against animal testing, but reading here I've learnt that some are not. Is there a go-to list of products not tested on furry critters? Sorry to sound so uninformed.0
