Opening a door that's locked shut

Hello, just wondering if anyone has any ideas that will save calling out a locksmith!
My front door has locked shut and it appears to be the actual mechanism that's broken. It is a UPVC door with a euro lock and it has two hooks - one going up the way and one down the way that are in the locked position so taking the hinge off does not appear to be an option. We have snapped the barrel and taken it out and tried a different(definitely working) one and that did not work either.
At a loss for what to try next without actually damaging the door - does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you see the hinges? If so, is it possible to knock the hinge pins out?0

I had same sort of problem... had a locksmith out who advised to cut through mechanism as door can't be opened... would taking pins out and trying to manoeuvre door off work?0

I ran this past a guy at the weekend who makes these kind of doors and does repairs to them, if the door has high security dead bolts fitted within it then you aren't getting it open, if its a standard 3 or 5 point lock mech then you can try either drilling the lock out and seeing if you can work the mech or you need someone with a specialised jigsaw to start at the bottom of the door and cut the locking pins one at a time and working there way up.Norn Iron Club member No 3530
