Amazon code? crooks!

I bought the £40 suggested gift cards in last months tips email.
The free £10 amazon code only applies to items shipped AND held by amazon (which is less than 25% of all their stock), AND it expires after a couple of months ANDDD amazon have cleverly lumped that discount into the same category as shipping discounts, so that people won't realise their code isn't being fully applied.
All the best things I want to buy are held by a company other than amazon.
I have spent 5 hours total now figuring out and searching for products to be able to spend this damn code.
The only way I can spend it at this point is by buying something I don't want.
BIG thumbs down for amazon and a BIG thumbs down for the money saving tips, with it's excitedly written nonsense. Martin and his team are a bunch of sales-people drumming up attention. The money saving tips was alright ten years ago (a bit like amazon really).
I can't even search for items that are fulfilled AND held by amazon. (Items fulfilled but sold by anyone else don't count).
I have wasted 5 hours of my life and the oppurtunity cost. I'm p****d off.

P.S. Ebay rocks. I've spent £3 grand on there in the last 10 years and I am delighted (or issues resolved) 99.9% of the time. Every time amazon messed I have had to go through painful ages on the phone with incompetent people who don't fix anything. One time I tried to collect from my local newsagent and they wouldn't give me my parcel because of an amazon system error. I had to go home empty handed (I was refunded although without apology)... Another time in 2011 I was sent a pirated verson of windows on amazon marketplace and was not refunded. F***** CROOKS.
The whole business was set up by Jeff Bezos to fund his teenage dream of space travel. He has a hanger developing rockets in the USA dessert. If you don't beleive me, read "The Everything Store".
PPS. but seriously if anyone has a tool to search for items fulfilled and sold by amazon let me know.0 -
no point moaning about the T&Cs after purchase
you bought because you where greedy.0 -
When you search for a product, down the left hand side is sellers, just click Amazon and you will get only things sold by Amazon.
To be fair, its totally understandable that an Amazon voucher would only be valid on products sold by Amazon and not third party sellers.
The t&c' did clearly state:
The £10 promotional code can be spent on products sold by Amazon on Amazon.co.uk"
You do also realise that this is the food shopping and groceries board? How very rude of you, don't you know Martin and his team have helped save people millions as well as helping people reclaim millions more. Don't forget to close the door on the way out if you don't like it here :rotfl: :wave:Sunshine0 -

Whilst I don't agree with the OP on the whole, I do think your view is rather naive. Most of the people helped by this site have been helped by forum members - the same place where most of the savings tips come from. Martin and his team have made many, many millions from nothing more than being good salesmen0
