Insurance Form Tips?

Hi folks,
Does anyone know any good resources for filling in insurance forms?
I'm sure I've read somewhere that entering 9999 instead of 10000 for your annual mileage is better and that the choice of job also makes a difference (ie I am a skilled, professional, designer who's also MD - which do I choose!?)
Thanks
Simon

I think you may be best to have a chat with a broker/advisor on that front.

There was a Times article about a month ago about that.
Apparently each insurance company treats professions different and is just an anomaly. The only way to find out whether you will get cheaper insurance by being say a "designer" rather than a "managing director" is to put it in. However you must ensure that what you put in is one of the truthful descriptions of your job so for example a "barrister" can put in that they are a "lawyer" but a "solicitor" is not allowed to put in they are a "barrister".
However you need to be careful about is if you get loads of quotes for different circumstances using one insurance company you may alert the insurance company that your input is not truthful and may think you are acting fraudently, and reject you. (Someone posted about doing this a while ago on this board.)
I suggest you do a search on this board for more car insurance tips.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
