Forces help to buy help

Hi, wasn't sure if there's already a guide on this avaliable.

Currently I am looking to apply for the forces help to buy sceme via JPA but don't understand the process surrounding it. I.E. Do I need to have a bid on a house accepted then apply or?

I have asked the writes on base but they were of little help. Could someone break down the whole process for me please?

Thanks, Bagsy

  • You don't make the application on JPA until you have found a property, had your offer accepted and have a solicitor.

  • Brilliant, so just need to get everything else in place then apply via JPA?

    Yeah
  • Thats pretty much it - just make sure you use a lender who will take FHTB...
