Sorry to barge in but I have a very similar question. Do you think its a good idea to get rid of the arranged overdraft altogether?
I have an arranged overdraft of £2700 with Nationwide. It has never been used. It is showing up as available credit on my credit file and I need to lower my available credit so I could apply for more credit cards in future.Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard.

Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard.
Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard.
Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But you can choose your hard.0 -
The answer to your question is pretty much exactly the same as my earlier reply. If you specifically want to reduce your available credit then yes, reducing or removing your overdraft would help.0
