Is this compatible with either Win 7 or Win 10 ?
I believe that it runs under XP...
Is there any way to run it in "compatible mode" ?

A quick chat with Uncle Google tells me that this was out at around the time of Windows 95/98 SE so XP if you are lucky, W7. W10 probably not but someone might be along to tell me differently.0

Check out VueScan by Hamrick at https://www.hamrick.com. It replaces the scanner software and works on all Operating Systems. I use it for an older Minolta Scan Dual 2 with no problems at all.0

Thanks but no Olympus scanners are shown in the list of supported scanners at all - and the cost ($79.95) is a little off-putting as well !!0 -

Does VueScan offer a free trial? Might be worth giving it a try if it does then decide whether it's worth splashing out on. It might well be able to cope with unlisted scanners as I think it uses both TWAIN and WIA drivers.0 -
This is a SCSI scanner
Which will require specific drivers !!0 -
I was going to suggest setting it up with virtual PC and running a Win98 or XP emulation, but I'm not sure it would allow you access to the SCSI interface.
I also did a quick Google (as I'm sure you have) and most of the questions were asking whether it was compatible with XP, not 7 or later, and while some of them suggested virtual PC I suspect that might be the old version that used to support a parallel port, and for the parallel version of the scanner.
I take it this is a very good quality scanner, and that replacing it would be more expensive than just getting a £30 Maplin slide scanner? If that's the case, then the inconvenience of having a separate machine that you can keep on the older OS may well be worthwhile.0 -

Another vote for VueScan, though you need to know what you're doing to get the best out of it. I wouldn't use anything else, especially the Minolta software!
VueScan doesn't take over your PC, so it's easy to try and then get rid of if it doesn't work.0
