Modular Extension Pros and Cons?

in House buying, renting & selling
Hi, I am thinking about having a modular extension rather than a standard brick built one mainly due to the short construction time - has anyone had one and can you give me any pros and cons? Well, cons mainly as the only info I can find seems to be from people selling them!

    I think the main issue will be when you come to sell as this is likely to get picked up by the survey as non standard construction. This might spook the buyers unless there is some sort of guarantee in place. Even then I'd be cautious of a novel construction method with no track record.

    Thanks Nobbie, yes I guess that could be an issue. The company I am looking at is this one: ukhouseextensions although there seem to be a few players in the market and one is booked out until June 2016 so i guess they are quite popular!
