Does anyone have any highly recommended solicitors to take over our new purchase and remortgage process? Our current solicitor has 'just' realised they cannot work for both our vendor and us so we have to move. Essentially the new solicitor would have to request the files from the previous solicitor to carry on. We already have our offers.
Thanks in advance

We used these on recommendation from our broker

Still going through the re-mortgaging process, but so far cant fault them. Their prices are reasonable, they respond quickly and all documents are sent and received through a web portal, which for me was a major plus. The last time I used a solicitor for a mortgage they insisted everything being posted by snail mail which wasted days and was absolutely infuriating.0 -

There's a whole thread on Premier, which is not very complimentary in general: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=1849083
OP - I would suggest finding a solicitor that you can visit in person.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Can only really go on my own experience, which is not complete yet, but so far so good. This is just a re-mortgage, not a purchase so should be pretty straightforward.0
