. . . Can I just ask, can I make two separate purchases on the credit card, or what way does it work to trigger the 0% interest rate?
Just to be clear, as soon as he receives the card he can start using it for any number of purchases at 0% during the promotional period, subject to his credit limit. The card may need to be activated before first use - follow any instructions received with the card.

Your husband can also request a second-user card for you to use on his account if that would be more convenient for shopping purposes. (Note that your husband will be legally responsible for any purchases which you make using the second card.)
