Around 11 years ago i bought a computer from the old currys store in hull and was sent a store/credit card in the post by HALIFAX CETELEM. Now i am trying to reclaim the ppi on this item. I have sent the relevent paper work to barclays after i read on here that barclays had bought the company and recieved a letter to say they had passed the paperwork on to halifax as it was not there issue to deal with then halifax sent me a letter to say it was also not there issue and sent the paperwork to CETELEM in france. Now i have the feeling i will not be recieving any money back. Please help to advise me as i need to know what to do next.

Cetelem Ltd, Company No. 03610034, formerly known as Halifax Cetelem Credit Limited and Halifax Cetelem Finances Limited, has been in liquidation since about 2009. The registered office is listed as; 1 More London Place in London, which is the office address of the accountants Ernst & Young, who are presumably the liquidators

As far as I can tell, it was originally a joint venture between the Halifax (now part of Lloyds Banking) and BNP Paribas, but that BNP Paribas bought out the Halifax at some later date.
