Dog has sarcoma cancer and has had an operation

As already said, chemo in dogs is much gentler and better tolerated than in humans. It's not generally designed to be curative and so is given at a smaller dose. I'm sure there must be somewhere closer than Liverpool that can give chemo. I have personal experience of AMC Rotherham and it appears from the website that they have an oncology dept. http://amcreferrals.com/medicine/?id_row=oncology#oncology
I also know that some Vet Practices - mine included - are willing to administer chemo on site once it's been prescribed by a Referral Practice. It may be worth doing a bit of your own homework, asking Referral Practices what services they can offer and then approaching your Vet again for a referral.
Good luck with whatever you decide and remember whatever you decide is done with love x0 -
Hi thank you for your replies. My dh spoke to the vet today and the vet said he can't give a time line but it could be two weeks or three months before we will lose him. Vet said his behaviour will change . He has already started to bark more. Also he will go off his food and that's when it will be time to put him to sleep.
I still can't believe it. Apart from the increased in barking and his mouth. He looks well .Married 09/09/090
