My mum has ordered some items from this company, cheque cleared 28th August, but still no goods arrived. She has called them, and they promised a refund, but nothing yet.

Anyone have any experience of these guys - just slow, or a con?

When did she call to cancel the order?
I ask because the company has 14 days from that date to supply the refund.

As an aside, can I suggest that your mother starts using a card, either a debit card or credit card, to make these type of purchases, as they offer far more protection in circumstances like this. For example, it would be quite straightforward to get a refund from the card issuer if the seller wasn't doing so.

And yes - she thought she was being safe by not giving her debit card :-(

I think I would allow a few days over the 14 as a cheque was used.

The company actually has to post this and rely on Royal Mail - all that assumes they can find a cheque book.

Give them another week's grace.
