Obtaining credit while on DRO

Hiya I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of obtaining credit while on the DRO moratorium period?

All I can find is that you have to inform the lender you have a DRO if borrowing more than £500... I assume if it is less than £500 its just down to whether you get approved or not?

I only ask because O2 do a weird upgrade thing where there is a 24 month device plan as done as a separate credit agreement and then you have your airtime bill - in total its the same price as my current bill so wouldn't affect my outgoings.

The credit plan would be less than £500 so I wouldn't have to tell them about the DRO?

Hope someone can understand the moratorium period rules better than me!

Thanks in advance

Bobby xxxx

They'll probably find out you have a DRO in any case as it's public information. I'd still mention it despite it being under £500.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
