Anyone know how I can get details of who provided my first 2 mortgages 11 and 9 years ago?
I've no idea, no bank statement records and can't think of anyway without paying Registers of Scotland maybe.
Any help gratefully received.

Most mortgages dont have MPPi built into them. It is one of the reasons why most MPPI complaints fail (so not charged interest on the premium and not front loaded). Most have a monthly direct debit which is separate from the mortgage. So, you could look for that on your old bank statements. Those old statements would also tell you the lender.
If you used a broker, then knowing the lender doesnt matter as brokers do not use lender insurance products.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Having just been speaking to Santander with same issue , I know my mortgage provider and payment protection provider , but they saying case closed unless I can find proof of premiums , on the bank statements it only says account number of ppi and amounts . This is supposedly not enough . Frustrating isn't the word0
