When I say I have never had a day off. I don't mean I work all day every day. I do shift work. I don't think I get paid for over time.

People just come and go at the place I work. Sometimes not bothering to come in. Every single person that works there is at college still and they are under trained and working part time shifts. He doesn't hire anyone else.

The minimum to which you are entitled is 12.07% of the hours you have worked and been paid for.

If your company has not advised you of when their holiday year runs from (eg from 1 April or 1 January), you can have a personal holiday year starting on your first day of employment with them.

If you don't take holiday (because you haven't asked to take it) in a holiday you lose it (unless you get agreement from your employer to carry some forward to the next year).

Are you deemed to be self-employed or do they deduct tax and NI from your payments? If self-employed, you aren't entitled to paid leave.

Thank you for your replies, very helpful.

I guess I better take my paid holiday off soon before Christmas. Yes I get pay slips and it takes of tax and NI.
