I took one look at their website and I could not see anything about any FCA authorisation. Therefore I would give them a massively wide berth.0

Never heard of them, that in itself rings alarm bells."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Not FCA regulated. So, a bunch on unregulated people telling people how to invest with no consumer protection available and no regulatory checks to see if they are doing things correctly.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

They seem to have a publicity splurge from time to time, but I haven't seen one for a while.
IIRC, they use momentum investing and have a range of suggested portfolios (Steady as She Goes, Full Steam Ahead, and so on) detailed in a newsletter to which you are invited to subscribe.
Never seen any proper reviews of their performance.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -

Just looking at their website - I remember being intrigued enough by the idea a few years ago, but not convinced the cost (currently £25 per month, plus platform/trading charges) would be worthwhile.
Their own chart shows their Tugboat portfolio (IGNORING charges) has avoided the nasty dips during the last five years very well and has made roughly 50% in that period. Just for comparison, my own portfolio (which really is nothing special, just based on the bog standard investment principles) is up 109.5% in the same period. At least according to Trustnet.
Edit: Actually it will be quite a bit better than that, as several good-performing purchases over those last five years are excluded.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0
