Brick dust stains on bath sealant

Hello. I had a shower screen installed and brick dust got all over the bath silicone sealant, staining it pink. It looks like pink mould! I've tried to remove it with beach and bathroom sprays but no joy. Any advice?

It's quite gritty and probably scratched the surface of the silicone and is embedded? Might have to cut out and replace the silicone0

I've had the exact same issue, I could find nothing to shift it as the grit had embedded in the silicone. The only solution was to cut it out with a razor blade, clean back all the surfaces and apply a fresh bead of sealant. It goes without saying but make sure you clean the old stuff away properly, clean the area and then make sure it is completely dry (use hairdryer). Fill the bath and the apply the sealant as the bath will sink slightly when full.
In future if you drill over silicone you should apply masking tape to prevent this sort of problem.0 -

When I drill holes in walls my wife holds a vacuum cleaner pipe just below the point at which I am drilling so that the dust is mostly sucked up.
There are various other methods for catching the dust here.0 -
Brick dust is not soluble, so no cleaning product will remove it. The only way is to do it physically, eg with an eraser. If that doesn't work, you'll have to scrape out the silicone and replace it, or just put a new bead over the top.0

Replace the silicone - the only solution.0
