I just had a look at Homeserve's policy and it shows a £95 call out fee. Perhaps that may be why they are cheaper monthly than some other companies.
I have Homecare 400 with British gas. They have unblocked my toilet, fitted a new socket, found a gas leak and also checked why a socket was overheating and then replaced it. There was no additional charge for any of these visits. The engineers have always been courteous to me and seemed to know what they were doing.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -

The policy I have does not have a call out charge or excess, but it is not a Landlord's policy. Some of their Landlords policies have an excess I believe.0
