My son has developed asthma. He is starting an apprenticeship on Monday. He has just had to buy the medication he needs is there anyway to claim that back as he wont be on much money?

There are quite a few schemes for help with prescription costs this link should help.

Did he get receipt for the prescriptions he just had to pay for

The threshold for help with prescriptions is very low.

I was going to suggest the prepayment certificate. But that's only worth it if you need 13 items per year. If his only condiiton is asthma, he won't need that many. (I get 2 inhalers at a time)

Then he will get free prescriptions so just apply. In the meantime can you help and wait for the reclaim.
