Bjorn Borg boxer shorts

I bought 4 pairs of boxer shorts from Bjorn Borg last month
It was 2 orders, £22.40 for 2 pairs plus £4.95 p&p, so the total for the 4 pairs was £54.70
On 3 of the pairs the elastic waist band has started to fail and deform, it looks like the elastic strands are coming apart where they have been stitched. They are still usable, but just look bad.
I have bought Bjorn Borg for years as they are good quality and last well. I compared the new ones to some older ones I have and they have changed the way they are stitched. They used to have the elastic folded over before stitching and these are still perfect. The newer ones just have the elastic band butted together then stitched with a zig zag stitch
I've written to Bjorn Borg and they have offered me a £30 voucher and have sent me another pair of boxer shorts (which they have chosen, I won't wear them as they are hideous)
Do you think this is fair?
I was thinking they should refund me for the 4 pairs, but I don't know if that is reasonable
I've replied to them and told them there is obviously a fault with the new way they are made, but they have replied with the same thing, that they have given me a £30 voucher and a (hideous) pair of boxers

It's entirely reasonable for you to want a refund of the money spent - and they do have to prove that it's not a manufacturing defect and if they can't they need to refund, repair or replace the goods.
Having said that and this is just my opinion. I think you are daft not to take the £30 voucher. You said yourself they are still usable and you can buy yourself even more boxers!
As for the hideous ones - this may just be me but not a lot of people see my boxers. If I were parading around the city centre in them then I'd want to look fashionable no doubt - but under my jeans - not really that bothered.0 -
So you have had £30, a new pair of boxers plus the cost of P+P them to you and you have four pairs that you are still wearing and you want more?
Buy Jimmy Connors' ones the next time!0 -
