Business Bank Account

hi, I am after some advice, I currently have a HSBC Business bank account, I am being charged a monthly fee and all the other normal charges

I am wondering if there is other options to a business bank account?

at the moment I the amount of money that goes in to my account is less that £300 a month, and some months less,

i am wondering if my best option is opening a current account since the amount is low, or do i need to stick with a business account

Thanks

See http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/small-business#acc, which summarises best options, including the obvious recommendation to check Ts & Cs if considering using a personal account for business purposes!

I don't think they do. They have a free 12-18 months business bank account for start-ups opening their first business account. The OP isn't opening their first business account.

I don't think there are any longterm free business accounts around anymore. The best options to reduce costs are using opening offers.

And, if the OP already has a business account (and so not eligible for Santander's offer) the best offer around is, I think, still the Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank's 25 months free for switchers. Though that's only convenient if you are relatively close to a branch (as they do need you to visit for ID purposes).
  • I would suggest setting up a second personal current account.
