My mum was old, and was led to believe that the accounts were changed to receive more interest. Mum told me that. But did not mention it now being a joint account0 -

But she may not have realised the impact the new account would have on her will.0 -

If there are bills, the house will have to be sold, bills paid and then and only then will anyone receive any inheritance.
Not sure about the partner staying in the house, even if it is is the will,if there are debts.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Okay I may of been wrong about this person. I was told by mums partner that the money is now legally his.
I was told that the account named in the will is now closed and no money is due to me.
It was mums wishes and written into her will that this money be divided between my brother and I.
Do I have any possibilities of getting this money back? This is my total inheritance and I will be left with nothing. I am named as one of the executors and have all bills to pay0 -
I am sure mum was not intentionally foolish. just trusted her partner to do the right thing.
I believe he knew and planned this because the account (and not amount) is stated in the will. The account changed to joint names and not entered into the will.
His attitude now is to say the account in the will is closed and that's it.
Really cant believe how attitudes can change over money0
