Misleading car advert

When you test drove it and parked it and the parking assist didn't work did it not trigger anything suspicious in your unconscious mind?“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

Perhaps he didn't use it
I have had my new car four months and still never used mine!0 -
Is the car new or is it second hand.
I see the validity of the clause on the website if the trader has a variety of vehicles to sell. I would expect a secon hand car advert to list the exact specs for the specific vehicle beibg sold and would not consider it reasonable that. A spec is stated and then disclaimed elsewhere.
Only thing i can think is that places like arnold clark sell 2nd hand cars in the same way they do new ones...and they will show an advert in the paperblisting 'ford focus..2 years old..milage 20k for 10k'. As they have a pool of ex-lease cars which all broadly fit this broad description they may be warranted in disclaiming the advert.0 -
What have you been doing for the past 10 months?0

If the advert is on Auto Trader I believe the vehicle specs are automatically generated by the Auto Trader system using Capcode or similar vehicle database systems. As far as I can see every advert has a "may not be the spec" disclaimer. Dealers also use the same systems for producing their own adverts as it saves a lot of time checking each vehicle individually for what is has and hasn't got. How far they could rely on the Disclaimer to get them out of jail I'm not sure0

What actually are you claiming for? What resolution are you after?0
