Can anyone tell me what this is please
We've not long moved into our new house and we have a good sized garden, in the garden we have some sort of bush that has fruit on it, I've never seen the fruit before and I'm hoping that someone in here can tell me more about it. I'd also like to know if I have to cut it back, at the moment it's about nine feet high and has spread about 7 feet, the fruit is very small and smells like an apple it also looks like one and that's about as much as I can say about it.

Does anyone know if there is a helpful site that can help me to identify plants?
Like Kinski we have moved into a house with a lovely garden but I have no idea what many of the plants and shrubs are or how to care for them.
With garden birds I can go to a site and put in whether it is small or large, colour etc., and it will give me a few pictures of possibles.
Barring coming on here about forty times asking for plant ID, what can I do?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

There's an app for it. Not used it myself, so can't tell you if it's any good.

Thanks Reen. I will see if I can find it on iPhone store or whatever it is. I didn't think of an app.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

That's true! Better brain exercise than a crossword.0 -
So you guys don't mind? Really?? That's great news. I will be taking you up on the offer. Wouldn't want to contribute to any sluggish brains.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I'm glad you mentioned that Rosie because I have more plants that I haven't a clue what they are or what to do with them, I've come from a wee bit concrete to a decent sized garden and not a clue about most of it. I might just be of to take more pictures of some of the plants I've inherited :rotfl:0
