Our 2 year fix mortgage is just about to come to an end and i am after advice what to do next.
We are looking to move within in the next 6 months so i don't want to get stuck in a fixed term mortgage that we have to port and then take an additional one out for the shortfall on a different rate.
Any suggestions what would be the best course of action here.
Do we stick to the higher variable we will be put on ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ben

Your only other option is to see whether your existing lender has any tracker rate mortgages. This would at least allow you to have the flexibility of having no tie in's. Until such time as you make a decision as to the future.0

Have a look on your lenders website for new deals for existing customers and check carefully any tracker deals to make sure you are NOT tied in for a period of time!
If they have a suitable deal give the mortgage centre a call to confirm there is NO ERC,s to pay if you change deals/remortgage else where.
Most of the time they will allow you to change onto a new deal ( ONLINE) without going through a full application IF you are Not Borrowing more or Increasing/decreasing the term0
