When an unexpected expense ruins plans temporarily

I hate unexpected costs
My car died last month, it was so old, it only went for £55 scrap metal and then I had to PAY £75 to cancel my insurance
I had just built up a little savings aswell, then boom, its gone!
It's always gutting when savings are cleared out, but they are for rainy days and you didn't resort to credit but had money to pay outright
So not all bad.0 -
I am so sorry what an awful expense for you.
I hope you get the new bed soon. Xxx0 -

That's true! I just hope anything else doesn't go wrong in the mean time! It did feel good not to resort to credit like I would have done previously!Debt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250
