Students content insurance

Options
Mention was made in weekly email about Students insuring their contents at Uni.

First option was to check if you are covered on parents home insurance or the cost of cover to be added.

Then it recommended Endsleigh.

I believe it also mentioned that if in Uni Halls often there is insurance included - DD was covered and had to claim when she accidentally smashed laptop screen 3 weeks after going to uni and the policy only had £10 excess.

DD now Y3 and in private accommodation. As I needed to reinsure DD Iphone I looked to combine in one policy.

Adding to home insurance was £45 for the cover I wanted and I risked my no claims for years if we had to claim.

I tried Endsleigh and quote was £175 and excess £50+

I tried the company that covered her in Halls in Year 1 https://www.cover4students.com

Result was £87 but it includes her iphone lost/stolen/damaged anywhere in Uk, £2000 personal possessions and specified laptop, ipad etc. As I paid £56 last year with protect my bubble for her Iphone this one polic from cover4students is most cost effective. Plus the excess is £10
