Tine's wedding progress :)

Well today I am seeing the organiser at the place where I am hoping to have our wedding and everything. Yesterday I went wedding dress shopping and found it lovely dress... This one to be precise :)
I'm not stopping looking but I MIGHT have found my wedding dress already!
It's not as cheap as I was hoping for, £650 isn't cheap, but not extortionate either.
I was talking to the OH last night on MSN as he's away working and asked what kind of budget I have for the dress... (bear in mind he's spending over £1000 for his kilt and everything that goes with it...) and he said £1200? Is that enough or do you need more?
:rotfl: Well I was thinking £650 was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I guess I shouldn't have worried :)
Still... gonna try and find it cheaper I think, but if I can't and I don't find anything else that tickles my fancy then I might have to go back and order this one :)
Will try to post pictures of the venue later although it's raining here so not very picturesque at the moment lol

Well done on the dress, Tine, my daughter's dress was a Maggie Sottero too (Martina I think) and it was beautiful - she had Diamond White.
    You will look lovely!
What flowers, bridesmaids etc are you having?
(PS We're getting married next year sometime - when we've saved up - my second ond OH's first!)

I think I'll be going for white roses and blue thistles... scottish theme and royal blue will be the main colour... No bridemaids... long story.

  • OOh, I like that! I'm having a dress nightmare... but I'll maybe start a new thread on that when I've mulled it over...

We've got a blue theme going on too, not that easy to find blue accessories is it, everything is red!

It is a NIGHTMARE!!!! I finally found a blue bridesmaids dress but gettign one I liked and that didn't cost £250 was a nightmare and a half! The one we picked isn't the colour blue I was lookign for but it's ok... I'd rather save over £200 and spend £10 on new paper for the invites and menu's etc ;) it's only a small amount of paper I need to alter on the invites so it's not a problem :)

  • How organised are you? Nothing is matching in my colour scheme, it's all blue... just different shades... lol

But I'm not too fussed if the colour of the invites doesn't match the bridesmaids, I'm hoping to get them all sent out before the big day (The invites...not the bridesmaids...) And place settings etc are white so far. But there's always room for change, I haven't pinched the card from college yet ;)
