UPS Collection service? (they come to collect)- How does it work?

Options
When looking for UPS courier fees, (interparcel.com)

from the Uk delivery, options come up for them to come and collect.

How does that exactly work?

You pack the package, they come to your house, and collect? and they take it for further processing?

Have you done this before? Is it secure?

What is to confirm that when they collect it, that it is in safe hands?

(a signed paper on collection - when they come and collect it for example?

They pick the parcel up, scan it and leave with the parcel.
UPS are one of the better couriers.
I'm not sure what you think they're going to do with your parcel if you arrange for them to collect it from you. If anything you have more protection than if you drop something in a post box.
You have to have bit of trust occasionally otherwise nothing would ever happen.

We use UPS via Interparcel all the time. They just scan the package and take it, no receipts - those are all emailed to you by Interparcel.

We find them excellent and send stuff all over the world with them.

I use UPS Home Collection or drop-off and I've never had a receipt or e-mail when items are collected or dropped off.

I get handwritten receipts on a small printed form when I drop items off at a shop for UPS. Sometimes though they don't write the tracking number on but some other number from the UPS label.

What I have found is that the collections from shops are not reliable and there is normally a day's delay even though they are dropped off before the published cut off time for the shop.

I've decided to pay a little more and get them to collect from the house. These are always picked up on the correct day (touch wood!).

I used to use UPS quite often and found their service excellent. The only downside was the long wait for the collection. At the time there was no local drop-off point, only one about 12 miles away.

I used them again last week for a large parcel and was pleased to learn that there is now a local drop-off shop about 1 mile from my house.
