I will try to make this post as short and as factual as possible. I'm hoping to go back to uni full time in jan 2016 to study for my Masters in Social Work. I am married and my husband works full time and is in his final year of his first degree, we have two school age children.
I have completed the online bursary calculator based on our annual income and it states I'm entitled to a healthy bursary which would cover all of my tuition fees (I'm commuting and have a weekend job) but I'm almost wary of believing it to be honest because I really didn't think I would be able to afford it (if I went to another uni I probably wouldn't)
As far as I'm aware the uni has to recommend you for a bursary so that's another hurdle does anyone know anything about this process.
I have booked to go to my chosen uni on Saturday for an open day where student finance will be there but I was hoping for a heads up before then.

Are you referring to the MA social work course. If so I think you apply to nhs for a bursary which they pay to you, and money to your uni for tuition fees up to a certain point. All the uni would do would be to say that you are in attendance to the nhs so you get you money. I could be wrong tho!0
