In March 2012 I was issued with a CCJ, which was paid within two weeks by a solictor on my behalf to the company that held the debt.

The company did not inform their collection company that the debt had been paid and the CCJ has remained active since then.

The collection company presueded me for £600, which was paid in installments over the course of the next year.

In fact the collection company shouldn't have requested payment as the CCJ was already satisfied.

Can I get the £600 overpayment back and do a have legal grounds to challenge the original company for not clearing the CCJ 3 years ago?

Note I am in Scotland.
2017 £4231.40/£4231.40 (100%)
2018 £3483.18/£3483.18 (100%)
2019 £2663/£2841.70 (94.65%)
2020 £2290.17/£2290.17 (100%)
2021 £1787.98/£1787.98 (100%)

If you have records of the payment then yes, of course you can.

Have you let the collections company know about the debt being settled?

Surely if you paid £600 to settle the CCJ, no one in their right mind would then willingly pay out a further £600 to a DCA knowing full well it had been settled and paid up. Hmmm.
