I think I would have hit the brakes once I was asked for bank details (regardless of the reason given).

I agree. If any free order asks for bank or CC details, the browser gets closed immediately. Otherwise you can find you ordered the free thing and a paid-for thing every month thereafter.
  • I think I had a similar offer when I tried graze years ago - the first box was half price and then the 4th was free (I think). So it might be that?
  • Hi there,
    quick update.
I hoped this would be a happy update..
Graze replied (to all of my reviews) and assured me that they would give me the free box for free, rather than £1.99.
So, you can imagine the wonderful surprise in the morning when I logged into internet banking, and found a £3.99 charge on my account!
Not the free box I was promised,
Not the £1.99 they tried to swindle,
But the £3.99 for successive boxes!
As far as I'm concerned, that's false advertising/stealing.
Any advice would be most welcome.

Time to get the card issuer involved.

Did you cancel the graze box subscription? They might have been under the impression that you wanted it to continue but were unhappy about being charged for the first box. Worth calling them, explaining the whole sordid episode, ask for a refund and also for any continuous subscription to their boxes to be cancelled immediately.

I had a fair few free or half-price boxes from Graze. This was a while back, but their customer service was great. They even gave me a free box after I left some feedback on one of their snacks.

If I had a bit more cash to flash, I'd resubscribe. Hope you get it sorted OP.
