wireless heating thermostats - a warning

I've got eight Danfoss programmable wireless thermostats controlling the u/f heating. We are coming into our 6th winter since having it all installed and never had a problem. The batteries last over two years I've just replaced the batteries ready for winter - they didn't indicate that they needed changing but it seemed like a good idea.
They all show the set temperature and can display either the time or the actual temperature. It would be nice if they could be centrally controlled but it's not a big deal to tweak them if required - the hardest job is going round them all to set up holiday delays to make sure we come back to a cosy homeNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I also use the Honeywell Evohome wireless system and although it was expensive to install, it's worth it's weight in convenience and savings for heating.
Batteries last a while too. Don't need to buy high resistance batteries like Duracell or Energiser, buy low resistance batteries like cheap Tesco ones, otherwise your just wasting more money."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

you can't buy AA lithium batteries from local shops, usually.0
