I made an offer on one item and got rejected, then the 2nd offer which was very close to the BIN, The final offer i put a few pennies under the BIN and still rejected.
I didnt think anything less of the buyer and still bought it, just thought why waste people's time if the BIN price is the minimum they will accept?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Depending on the item they may have been open to offers other than simply on price - perhaps with collection to save the hassle of postage and packing, or maybe buying several things at once. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I go with +- 10%, I'm happy to accept £5 off on the item that is listed at £40-50, but not on the £10 (with free postage). Some people are just chancers and keep trying silly offers, then they go in a huff when you reject them0

Some can be quite rude as well and I do get a little satisfaction on selling something where a buyer has told me repeatedly that theirs is a good offer and my price is wrong.
I had one a few months back, a DVD box set of all things bought in a mixed box at an auction- I'd normally just charity shop it but it was a sort of cult type thing so I checked it out on Amazon. No one had any stock, Amazon sellers were asking £30-£40 for it and several had sold on eBay for £25 +. I listed it at £30 with best offer and got a lot of offers around £5 which were auto declined. One buyer was really persistent, continually messaged me to tell me my price was stupid, I was racketeering, I was stupid not to take his offer of £10 and it would never sell . It went after a week at full BIN price and the buyer actually came back and told me he would be prepared to go to £15 if I cancelled the sale..madness.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. this has made me chuckle a bit, some buyers can be quite rude and persistent. I've had a buyer with a rejected offer of £10 on £25 listing. The item was listed as used, however, it has been washed but never used, as i got the wrong size, originally it cost £40 and you still could buy it at the shop at the full price. So they wrote a note to me with their last offer of £10 in capitals 'the item is pre-owned!!!' Clearly annoyed that they didn't get it at a bargain price. The item went to a lovely lady for £22, who was ever so pleasant and messaged me later how satisfied she was.0
