Good morning everyone. It is a bright sunny day today for the Autumn Equinox. Washing out on the line and second load in the wm. Kitchen clean and tidy. I am planning on giving the conservatory a tidy up this morning including sorting out the tender plants and dusting those high, hard to reach places.
All being well I am planning to get my sewing machine out this afternoon to do a few clothing repairs but only after I have done the paperwork that I need to get sorted out.
TA great news about the treatment.
HH I hope all goes well.
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
TA
That is fantastic news :j:j:j:j:j:j and it must be a good sign that he is putting on a little weight.
DD and SIL came over last night with a bottle of champagne to celebrate her new job and we all had a good catch up. Youngest is still job hunting, oldest comes to collect more stuff tomorrow and Friday morning and middle seems to be having a great time on holiday in Greece.
Looks as if I will be cat sitting a very nervous cat next week while DD and SIL take a short break abroad. When scared she gets inside a recliner then can't get out  so will have to find a spray or something to deter this.
Going to find a sensible breakfast as it is weight in at slimming club tonight or as DH used to put it "Have they weighed the turkeys?";) I have home made chicken soup for lunch and froze the lamb spinach and potato curry I made yesterday.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Hi Everyone,
Been ages since I've been on here!:rotfl:
Hope people are okay. I am currently waiting for an appointment to see my consultant. After two years, I think my cancer is coming back:(
Need a scan to tell me or not. Still, trying to be positive. It may be that my tablets need adjusting. I've survived a year longer than the doctors said I would, and I feel okay at the moment, so we shall have to wait and see.
Having a Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow. I am charging £5 for a ploughman's lunch and cake as well. I am also holding a tombola. Hope I raise more than last year(which was £155) Should be fun!:T
DD is worried about DGD. She has had tummy ache for two days, thought it was migraine, but eventually we found out that she is being bullied by another girl. This little girl has Autism, but she is very aggressive, and tried strangling DGD last week:eek: My daughter has rung the school, and is going to see the teacher tonight. DGD loves school, so we don't want her to be frightened of it.:(
Have a good day all. xxI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Oh HILSTEP I couldn't just read and run. My thoughts and best wishes are with you and I really hope your fears are unfounded. Hope your coffee morning goes well and raises lots of much needed money for Macmillan. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Morning all
Glorious morning down here on the Kent coast, the sea looked beautiful when I drove down for a swim at the pool.
Just emptied our caravan out, we won't go away now until next year.
Planning a walk around to the lottie later, I expect the remaining veg will be in a lifeboat give the last two days rain.
Slow cooker veg curry for dinner tonight.
giving the kitchen a bit of a deep clean and kondoing as I go, I've always been a bit of a unhoarder, if that is a word, but seem to see things through fresh eyes since reading the book and following the thread. I think I am a product of my parents keeping just in case upbringing.
Hugs to those in need.Carolbee0 -

I have some good news!! We had a phone call late yesterday afternoon from the Royal Liverpool Hospital! Mr TA has been accepted there for his specialised radiotherapy treatment (PRRT). ...
Meanwhile, yesterday's weigh-in showed he has put 2 lbs on this week (and 1 lb last week) so the new eating regime/nutritional drinks and my nagging and force feeding is paying off!! Just hoping the scan Friday will show stents would help and he could eat normally again....
This all sounds really positive...

If you visit the vet or a big pharmacy you can get a Feliway (I think now renamed Adaptil) diffuser which should make kitty feel a bit happier and less likely to hide. It works like a plug in air freshener but gives off a scent which people can't smell but cats find comforting.hilstep2000 wrote: »...

Oh dear Hilstep. I hope your fears are unfounded. I hope the outcome of your scan is not a cause for concern. Many hugs.I have some good news!! We had a phone call late yesterday afternoon from the Royal Liverpool Hospital! Mr TA has been accepted there for his specialised radiotherapy treatment (PRRT). I could not believe what I was hearing, especially after being told 2 weeks ago that funding had been withdrawn. His first appointment will be for a Gallium scan and a chat with a Consultant who will explain the therapy to us. The lovely lady I spoke to is ringing back today with a date and time. She says there is a hotel near the hospital where she will book us in if the journey there and back is too much in one day. We are currently thinking train will be the best option but needs some thought. The PRRT achieves some good results with neuro-endocrine tumours so this has given us some hope at last.
TA i am so glad to hear your news, so happy to hear your DH has put some weight on too.Just emptied our caravan out, we won't go away now until next year.
We will be going to our caravan in November to winterize it. Its undercover but hubby changes the crystals in the water trap for the winter and checks everything is how it should be before the winter sets in. I think we have only used it once this year.... Such a waste of storage fees...
I'm fine, struggling with daily chores. My routine seems to have gone to pot and i'm tired but not sleeping well. I've got my Grandson tomorrow, i need to wake up!
Onwards and forwards,

TA - Good news for Mr TA at last, sending healing vibes.
HH - sorry to hear about OH and hope the scan results are good.
hilstep - sorry to hear your fears, I do hope they are unfounded. Good luck with your coffee morning and hope you raise lots of money
It's been a lovely sunny day today. before I went to work I hung out the children's bedding on the line, and it has dried lovely. I have another load out now, I don't think it will dry completely but at least it has had a good blow.
Work today was busy, our numbers are slowly going up which is all good. DH however had to go out on an early appointment, so DD had to walk home from school but she has survived.
I came in from work and have had a good clean and tidy up and mopped all the floors and cleaned the bathrooms.
I am making a sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry for dinner, it smells and looks amazing. Can't wait, also looking forward to the live episode of Corrie tonight.
Have a good evening everyone x:):)
