I wouldn't know anything about that...
    Je Suis Cecil.
  • The 'word on the street' was obviously wrong. 21st October has been and gone. Looking at the Supreme Court website for forthcoming judgements the result is unlikely this this month.

  • as was pointed out on another forum

"Supreme Court judgments are usually handed down one week after the Supreme Court gives one week's notice that it will be handed down. Beyond that is guess work and speculation."

    October it is not

Beavis winning or loosing won't make the slightest bit of difference. PPC's will be all over this form spewing about their great triumph, or maybe not, but in reality absolutely nothing will change especially when you consider POPLA is now in the hands of Ombudsman. Makes zero difference.

I disgree. A win for ParkingEye will lead to a feeding frenzy by all parking sharks and the possibility of new firms springing up to issue penalties for littering or any old excuse (not just parking, anything).

The learned Judges at the Supreme Court have a lot to consider and a lot to answer for, if they get this wrong.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I was thinking... the supreme court justices allow Beavis and it feels like excessive credit card late charges all over again. We, parliament or the courts, really should not support business models where point of delivery is free (or close to) but at a loss to the business provider and the whole business model is then predicated on fines, penalties, charges (pick your evil word of choice).
  • The problem with the PPC business model is it's like a bank who's entire profit is gained from those who are overdrawn. But unlike a bank, those with an overdraft of of £50 are charged the same as those with £5000. Daft! Cant go on.
