Has anyone had experience with claiming ppi from a company they owe money too?

yes people have.
If you are in arrears, defaulted or have had amounts written off, it is important to not use a claims company. This is because if your complaint is successful, the lender is allowed to use the refund part of the redress against your debt. You do not personally get the money (unless there is a surplus). If it's a Welcome loan after 14 Jan 05, the FSCS will set off against anything, including up to date loans.
I know that's not the OP's scenario as they mention a DCA, so info is for anyone coming across this thread.0 -
