Good morning.
I am decorating my bedroom and whilst stripping off the wallpaper I noticed the white sealant peeling away from the sides of the upvc windows.
I would like to reseal the edges with new white sealant.
Can you please tell me what sealant should be used......thank you

Stick with one of the branded silicones, don't buy anything cheaper than £5 per tube.

But you cannot paint over silicone sealant. I would be using decorators caulk - this will receive paint. There are anti mould brands available if this is a concern. If not, the No Nonsense at Screwfix, or the basic one at Toolstation would do the job. Both are a bit watery, they may shrink a bit if you apply in quantities, but they tool up nicely.0

Shouldn't need sealing on the inside I would have thought. Decent decorators caulk should do the job (I don't recommend the screwfix own brand stuff as it cracks easily) if you have some gaps to tidy up.0

Definitely needs sealing on the inside. This would be required for good practice in building and prevents heat loss and drafts into the cavity, or past wall edges. I recall this being a Buildings Regulation requirement.
I agree on the Screwfix comment. The product tools up nicely as I said but it canshrink and crack - but shrinkage depends how thick it is applied. I like the Polyfilla brand - very stiff ,but you cannot get good, easy, consistent finishes on it.0
