Anyone recommend a good free, easy to use Registry Repair program?

Thanks

  • Why ? Most of them are snake oil. Re-install much better.

it depends on what it is you're trying to do. If it's just a cleanup, then CCleaner is your friend. If it's proper repair, try running sfc /scannow from the command prompt as a first step. If these don't do it, dcm is right and a re-install may be your best bet.

Firstly, why do you think you need to repair the registry??

Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand
  • There is no good repair program for the registry! all they do is optimize the registry for missing links with your OS. Unless if you know what exactly is wrong with the registry there is no point of fixing it! you are better off with one of these options:
    1. System restore of the system files and settings if you already did a restore point of your system to a previous date.
    2. Reinstalling windows on top of the existing OS and that might fix the registry.
    3. New windows installation
