Very true. Terry Smith made a stand last year, it was interesting to read the Hargreaves feedback on the fund this year.

A down to earth guy.. not many would be happy to be interviewed infront of the cleaning cupboard. In many ways, a Warren Buffett figure. He got a bloody nose last month though, although I like the fact he chose to reduce his cash holding. He's still running at 3% cash.
A lot of people bang their gums about VLS, and before you know it, choice goes out of the window. But he's evidence that if you want to mix it up, Active like his are worth more than a casual glance. The fact that Hargreaves declines him, when really, he declines them, is amusing, especially given his track record.Independent Financial Adviser.0
