Is Pinecone still active?

I can't remember when I last had a survey from them- 9 months ago I think, at least. Have they gone under? They used to be such a good survey company.

Log in to there and check your profile settings for how often they are to send you surveys, also check your vacation settings there as well.

I have had 2 from them in the last week and still people posting in the pinecone thread

  • I had one from them last week. Definitely not as regular as they used to be though.

    Best wishes.

OK, thanks. Will log in and check. I had about a dozen surveys in a week around Feb according to my record and since nothing. There is no way to check any profile info on the site, so I have emailed Karen Scott.

When you log in, the 'Profile' tab is on the top right hand side next to 'Points'.:)

My profile link disappeared too, so I emailed them and got a vague reply that didn't help, but the next day I logged in and it had reappeared, and I also got a survey invite - my first in months!

So this was the reply I got from Karen:

"Our records show that you completed surveys while you were out of the country. We count on panel members being available if a product evaluation study is assigned to them. Therefore your panel participation has been removed."

It's absurd, I haven't left the country since pre-1999! Has this happened to anyone else? I've asked why they didn't contact me and for my participation to be re-instated. I said if they truly believe that to be the case, then my account must've been hacked. But I strongly suspect I will never hear from them again!

Does anyone know how this could have happened?! I don't see what anyone would gain from hacking my account and it didn't have any points in it.

  • There is a Pinecone thread on here somewhere and someone posted with the same problem a month or two ago. I can't remember if they managed to get themselves reinstated, but its worth you having a look.

A couple of people on the Swagbucks thread have mentioned that your computer can sometimes pick up an old IP address from another country (maybe related to switching suppliers?). That might explain why they thought you'd been abroad.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out.
