New laptop needed??

Hello

Anyone recommend a good site for laptops..one with a decent memory card for new-ish games,for internet,work etc.. possible spend up to £800.

Have been looking on dell website but undecided..

You won't get a laptop capable of playing new-ish games at a decent rate for £800. Avoid the Dell ones. Look at ones with nVidia graphics chipsets, especially 7000 and 8000 series. You want 1GB of RAM for Vista, more if you're going to be gaming.

Just as a siede note, you 100% sure it needs to be a laptop, £800 wont get you a great gaming laptop but it'll be able tog et you a nice desktop.

I only ask because i myself bought a laptop at one point and subsequently never took it out of the house once.

Can I ask why stay away from Dell... i thought thet were one of the bst for computers?

Its not for me bt for a friend who is after a laptop and he works all over the place hence why he's after a laptop..

Looks quite nice, it has HDMI and a high def screen, although its 17 inch, so its not that portable
